Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains, in plain words, what information Real or Fake India collects when you visit, why we collect it and how you can ask us to delete it. Real or Fake India is an independent student project by Sandeep Singh, a B.Tech CSE student. It is not linked to FSSAI, RBI or any government body.

Effective date: 9 October 2026

Privacy in short

We collect only what we need to run the site and reply to you: contact form messages, basic security logs and essential cookies. We do not show ads. We do not use analytics right now. We do not sell your personal data.

Who runs this website

This site is built on WordPress, a tool for making websites. It is hosted on a Microsoft Azure server, which is the computer that stores the website. Pages reach you through Cloudflare, a service that sits between you and our server and helps block harmful traffic. You can read more about this student project and its author.

What information we collect

Contact form messages

If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. These are saved in the site database so we can read your message and reply to you.

Server and Cloudflare logs

Our server and Cloudflare keep standard logs. These may include your IP address (a number that identifies your internet connection), your browser type and the pages you visited. We use these logs only for security, for example to spot attacks or errors.

Essential cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. We use only essential cookies that the site needs to work and stay secure (for example, WordPress cookies). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Analytics and ads

We do not run any analytics or ads at the moment. If we add Google Analytics 4 (a tool that counts visits) in the future, we will update this privacy policy before we switch it on.

Do we share your data?

No. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with anyone, except the hosting and security services named above (Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare) that need it to run the site, or when the law requires us to.

Your data requests: access, how long we keep it and deletion

You are in control of the information you send us. Please use our contact page for privacy requests if you want to:

  • ask what information we hold about you
  • ask how long we keep it
  • ask us to delete your contact form message

Please write from the same email address you used before, so we can find your message.

Indian law

This site aims to follow applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you feel we have not handled your data properly, please tell us through the contact page and we will look into it.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this page when the site changes, for example if we add analytics later. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.

Our guides are for general awareness only, so please read our full website disclaimer before relying on them.
